”How blessed we are to have the possibility to worship in English in the Parish of Mikkeli! For more than 20 years I have been able to share my faith and join with others to celebrate. This has opened up the opportunity to make new friendships, provide comfort during difficult times and bring joy to make my life as an immigrant in Mikkeli. Being able to worship in my native language brings the message of our Lord even closer. Thank you to the Mikkeli Parish for providing English Services and wonderful pastors over the years who offer their support to immigrants, Finns and visitors alike.”
This is how our parishioner Lynne describes the English Services held in Mikkeli. Indeed, English Service in Mikkeli is open to everyone. We come together once a month: first we have Service and then coffee and tea after it.
The Lutheran Parish of Mikkeli holds Worship Services and Bible studies in English for foreign students and residents. If you want to talk with someone about your life situation or if you want more information about the meetings in Mikkeli or to know more about the religious life in Finland, please contact University Chaplain Jaana Pietiläinen tel. 0400 143 269, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
